chat customization to Mac users

Web Desk: WhatsApp has expanded its chat customization to Mac users, introducing a new update that allows them to personalize their chats with 38 color choices. The rollout, which aligns the desktop experience with the iPhone version, began today and will reach all users gradually over the next few weeks.

New Personalization Options

According to WABetaInfo, the update introduces 22 preset themes along with options for users to adjust color and brightness levels manually. The feature can be accessed through the app’s Settings under the Chats section, where users can select their preferred theme or upload personal images as chat wallpapers. These chat customization to Mac users will enhace user experience.

Flexible and Individualized Design

WhatsApp’s new customization feature automatically adjusts chat bubble and background tones to create a unified design. Users can apply themes globally or assign unique looks to individual chats. The platform also allows a mix of solid colors and subtle patterns, giving each conversation a distinct aesthetic.

Independent Customization Across Devices

Unlike some visual settings, the new themes do not sync between devices. This lets users maintain different designs on their Mac and iPhone for instance, choosing a darker scheme on desktop for focus and a lighter tone on mobile for visibility.

Consistent Experience Across Platforms

The move marks WhatsApp’s latest effort to create design consistency across devices while giving users greater control over personalization. With the update, Mac users can now enjoy the same flexibility in chat appearance that iPhone users have had for months, blending usability with a touch of personal style.
