Chasing a target of 264, Pakistan reached the mark in the final over, finishing at 265 for eight. Skipper Shaheen Shah Afridi, who captained the ODI side for the first time, called it an honor to lead the team and praised the players’ composure under pressure.

Batting first, South Africa posted 263 before being bowled out in 49.1 overs. The visitors started strongly, with openers adding a 98-run stand.
