Web desk: Punjab Information Minister Uzma Bukhari has apologized on social media for sharing incorrect facts about the Bhati Gate incident.
She expressed regret and embarrassment over the tragic event. She said she felt deeply saddened and ashamed. Uzma Bukhari clarified that the administration shared incorrect information to cover its mistake.
She also spoke about the incident that occurred in Lahore. She said Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz did not hide mistakes or negligence. She added that the chief minister openly expressed regret.
Uzma Bukhari said the chief minister ordered the arrest of those responsible. She said there is no forgiveness for the loss of human life in Punjab. She added that she personally feels ashamed and seeks forgiveness.
She said she shared the information that the administration provided to her. She added that she was ready to resign. She said the chief minister told her it was not her mistake.
She ended by praying for the safety of everyone.
