Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Operations Rawalpindi says TikToker Shamso Bibi, also known as Ayesha Gula Mena, was killed by her father and brother in the name of honor.
Addressing a press conference in Rawalpindi, SSP Operations Tariq Mehboob said the mystery surrounding TikToker Ayesha Gula Mena’s murder had been solved. Five suspects, including her father, had been arrested for the killing. The victim was allegedly killed by her father and brother in the name of honor.
The SSP Operations said the TikToker’s cousins were also involved in her murder.
The TikToker was shot dead on August 14. A murder, attempted murder and abetment case was registered at Taxila Police Station on the complaint of the victim’s father.
According to the FIR, a man named Kashif called the victim’s mobile phone, after which she left home with her brother and sister. Some time later, the family was informed that Ayesha had been shot dead.
According to her father, he reached THQ Hospital Taxila and identified his daughter’s body, while his other daughter and son were also present there in an injured condition.
According to the FIR, a man sitting on the back of a motorcycle opened fire on the vehicle, hitting Ayesha in the neck. Following the shooting, the vehicle went out of control and collided with a dumper, injuring the victim’s brother and another sister as well.
