Defence Minister Khawaja Asif has said that the PTI founder brought terrorism to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and was the biggest supporter of settling terrorists in the province.
In a statement, Khawaja Asif said that even ownership of the innocent martyrs being talked about is being denied. “Leave aside the military martyrs, did you visit even one civilian martyr’s home to offer Fateha?” he asked.
He said terrorism was brought to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa by the PTI founder, adding that speeches in the provincial assembly and media records were evidence of this. He said he could even debate the matter with him on television.
Khawaja Asif said that after losing power at the Centre, every chief minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa attacked the federal government, while May 9 was a separate matter.
He alleged that the leadership in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa loots government resources itself and also gives a share to terrorists in the form of extortion payments.
“You are partners of terrorists, and your hands are also stained with the blood being shed in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa,” Khawaja Asif said, adding that the nation would hold them accountable, as would God.
The Defence Minister further said Islamabad is a symbol of the unity of the country and the federation, while it represents the identity of 250 million Pakistanis. He said martyrs nurture it with their sacred blood.
Khawaja Asif said Pakistan crushed the pride of its eternal enemy a year ago, adding that the Pakistani people and brave armed forces have the courage to confront internal and external enemies.
