T20 World Cup: Pakistan beats USA by 32 runs

Colombo: In the 12th group match of the T20 World Cup, Pakistan defeated the United States by 32 runs.


In the match played in Colombo, Sri Lanka, USA captain Monank Patel won the toss and invited Pakistan captain Salman Ali Agha to bat first. Batting first, Pakistan scored 190 runs for the loss of 9 wickets in the allotted 20 overs.


Pakistan’s innings was opened by Saim Ayub and Sahibzada Farhan. Saim Ayub was dismissed after scoring 19 runs, while Sahibzada Farhan played a responsible and brilliant innings of 73 runs.


Pakistan captain Salman Ali Agha was dismissed for 1 run, while star batsman Babar Azam scored 46 runs. Shadab Khan made 30 runs, Mohammad Nawaz 5, Shaheen Afridi 9, Faheem Ashraf 1, and Usman Khan was out without scoring.


For the USA, Shadley van Schalkwyk took 4 wickets, while Mohammad Mohsin, Saurabh Netravalkar, and Harmit Singh claimed one wicket each.


It is worth noting that Pakistan won their first match against the Netherlands by 3 wickets in a thrilling contest, while the USA suffered defeat against India in their match.
