Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC) has shared a revised gas supply schedule for household uses ahead of Eid-ul-Adha, aiming to relieve domestic consumers of gas supply interruption during the festive period.
According to sources, gas supply will be redeemed from 3am to 10am tomorrow, while the existing controlled supply schedule will remain in place for the remaining hours of the day. Authorities say the decision has been made to ensure uninterrupted availability of gas during peak cooking hours while maintaining system pressure.
On the first and second days of Eid ul Adha, gas supply will remain in place from 7:30am to 12 midnight, ensuring households extended access for meal preparation during celebrations. On the third day of Eid, gas will be supplied from 7:30am to 10pm, after which the scheduled restrictions will be adopted again.
SSGC officials also added that the adjusted schedule is part of routine seasonal management to streamline supply and demand, as gas consumption typically rises significantly during Eid due to increased cooking activity in households across urban and rural areas.
Besides, they stated that monitoring teams will remain on duty throughout the Eid holidays to tackle any pressure issues or localized technical issues. Citizens have also been urged to use gas responsibly and avoid unnecessary wastage, especially during peak hours.
The company further stated that efforts are being made to ensure uninterrupted supply during the announced hours, particularly in overpopulated cities where demand is expected to be highest.
SSGC has assured that any major faults or emergencies will be responded promptly through its complaint and maintenance network, which will remain operational during the holiday period.
