Web Desk: The teaser trailer for the new Street Fighter live-action film has been released. The trailer offered the first look at Ken, Chun-Li, Ryu and Additional characters. The Street Fighter live-action movie is based on the long-running video franchise. The cast of the movie appeared on stage during The Game Awards 2025 to introduce the footage.
The synopsis of the Strret Fighter film has been released, the film is set in 1993, the synopsis states “Estranged Street Fighters Ryu (Andrew Koji) and Ken Masters (Noah Centineo) are thrown back into combat when the mysterious Chun-Li (Callina Liang) recruits them for the next World Warrior Tournament: a brutal clash of fists, fate, and fury. But behind this battle royale lies a deadly conspiracy that forces them to face off against each other and the demons of their past. And if they don’t, it’s game over!”.
Alongside Noah Centineo, Andew koji and Callina Liang, the cast includes Orville Peck as Vega, 50 Cent as Balrog, Cody Rhodes as Guile, Vidyut Jammwal as Dhalism, Jason Momoa as Blanka, Hirooki Goto as E. Honda, Roman Reigns as Akuma, Oliver Richters as Zangief, David Dastmalchian as M. Bison, Eric André as Don Sauvage, Alexander Volkanovski as Joe, Andrew Schulz as Dan Hibiki, Mel Jarnson as Cammy and Rayna Vallandingham as Juli.
The screenplay of the film is written by Dalan Musson and the film is directed by Kitao Sakurai. Production involves Capcom in partnership with Legendary. Capcom is the Japanese studio behind the original game series. The distribution is handled by Paramount Pictures.
The film is scheduled to release on October 16, 2026.
The trailer of Street Fighter was released at the Game Awards 2025. The Game Awards is an annual events celebrating the achievments of global video games industry.
