Shahid Khattak announces boycott of Azaad digital

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s parliamentary leader from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Shahid Khan Khattak, has announced a boycott of Azaad Digital and has made false and baseless allegations, claiming that the platform is continuously carrying negative and biased reporting against Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf.

Azaad Digital states that, in line with the saying “they took offense when the truth was spoken and shown,” Shahid Khan Khattak’s allegations and claims are false and unfounded. Azaad Digital is an independent and impartial digital journalism platform that represents all segments of society and political and social figures and leaders, and presents their positions and narratives to the public in a neutral manner based on facts.

On Thursday, in response to a question from an Azaad Digital reporter, Shahid Khan Khattak reacted strongly, saying that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf does not need to rely on any single platform to express its viewpoint in the media.

The Azaad Digital reporter responded that PTI is given as much time as perhaps any other outlet provides. However, Shahid Khan Khattak said that they now have their own YouTubers and digital platforms through which they will convey their narrative directly to the public.

Accusing Azaad Digital, Shahid Khan Khattak said that the platform carries negative reporting against PTI throughout the day.

He labeled Azaad Digital a “black channel” and announced that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf is completely boycotting the organization.

He stated that engaging with media houses that practice one-sided and biased journalism is a waste of time.

The PTI leader claimed that no Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf leader will now give interviews to Azaad Digital, nor will any statement or narrative be issued through this platform.

He said that the party leadership has completed consultations on this matter and that in the future, the party’s stance will be conveyed to the public only through its own approved media channels and digital platforms.
