A severe earthquake has struck the western part of Turkey, with tremors also felt in other provinces. The epicenter of the earthquake was Sundargi, while the depth was about 6 kilometers.
The earthquake’s strong tremors damaged several buildings, but there were no immediate reports of casualties. The earthquake caused widespread panic among the people, and citizens rushed out of their homes in fear. The earthquake was also felt in Izmir, Istanbul, Bursa, and other provinces.
Earlier, in August, a 6.1 magnitude earthquake struck the same area, resulting in one person being killed and dozens injured, while earlier, more than 55,000 people were killed in the horrific earthquake that struck Turkey in 2023.
