Security forces have killed 24 khwarij in two separate intelligence-based operations carried out in different districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), security forces conducted two separate intelligence-based operations in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa based on credible intelligence, during which a total of 24 khwarij were killed.

ISPR stated that the first operation was carried out in Orakzai District, where security forces effectively targeted a khwarij hideout. During an intense exchange of fire, 14 khwarij were killed.

According to ISPR, the second intelligence-based operation was conducted in Khyber District, where another 10 khwarij were killed as a result of the security forces’ action.

ISPR said that all the killed khwarij belonged to the Indian proxy organization Fitna-al-Khawarij, which was involved in terrorist activities in the area.

The military’s media wing added that sanitization operations are ongoing to eliminate any remaining khwarij in the area, in order to ensure the complete eradication of terrorism from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

According to ISPR, counterterrorism operations will continue under the Azm-e-Istehkam vision, and terrorism carried out with foreign backing will be eliminated at all costs.
