Saudi Arabia has signed contracts for the performance of Hajj by more than one million pilgrims next year in 2026, highlighting a major achievement achieved six months before the yearly holy journey (Hajj).
Saudi Minister of Hajj and Umrah Tawafiq Al-Rabiah said in a press briefing that early arrangements for Hajj are an incredible achievement by the Saudi government. His remarks came on the 5th day of the Hajj Conference and Exhibition in Jeddah.
During a press conference, the minister confirmed that the government has signed a contract with 77 countries. However, the Saudi private companies have inked over 3000 agreements with global Hajj service providers, he added.
The minister, Tawafiq Al- Rabiah, also revealed that more than 160,000 visitors visited the Hajj Conference and Exhibition, adding that this number is 33% increased as compared to the conference visitors last year.
The minister mentioned that the growing number of devotees every year shows that the international community is recognizing Saudi Arabia’s efforts to manage Hajj operations with honesty.
Al-Rabiah acknowledged the Crown Prince Mohammad bin Salman for his struggle to make sure the safety and comfort of pilgrims.
