Petition Filed in Federal Constitutional Court for restoration of Ali Amin Gandapur as KP Chief Minister
A petition has been filed in the Federal Constitutional Court seeking the restoration of Ali Amin Gandapur as Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
According to reports, the petition was submitted by Shir Afzal Marwat, requesting the court to declare Gandapur’s resignation unconstitutional and void.
The plea argues that the de-notification of Ali Amin Gandapur was illegal and against the Constitution, alleging that his resignation was obtained under the dictation of a convicted and disqualified individual.
The petition states that Ali Amin Gandapur’s resignation was taken under pressure and therefore has no legal validity.
The petition has also requested the court to reinstate Ali Amin Gandapur as Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
According to legal experts, such petitions usually raise important questions regarding the constitutional interpretation and legal procedure of resignation, which are decided by the court in light of the Constitution and available evidence.
Political analysts say that after this petition, a new legal and political debate is likely to emerge in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa politics, and the matter may take on greater significance in the coming days.
