Showers are also likely in Narowal, Hafizabad, Mandi Bahauddin, Okara, Sahiwal, Kasur, Jhang, Sargodha, Mianwali, Dera Ghazi Khan, Multan, and Rajanpur.

The spokesperson further warned of the risk of flash flooding in the hill torrents of Dera Ghazi Khan until September 9. Commissioners and deputy commissioners across Punjab have been directed to remain on alert.

Urban flooding expected in major Punjab cities

PDMA Director General Irfan Ali Kathia stated that rivers, including the Chenab, Ravi, and Sutlej, are already experiencing flooding, while major cities could face urban flooding due to heavy rains swelling local streams and drains.

He added that commissioners, deputy commissioners, and relevant departments, including health, irrigation, communication & works, local government, and livestock, have all been placed on high alert.
