Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) rally held in Peshawar has ended in failure.
Attendees showed little interest in the leaders’ speeches, and a large number of participants left the venue early. Surprisingly, many took chairs and other equipment with them as they left.
The rally was also marked by chaos. Due to scuffles, male attendees entered the women’s section, prompting women to leave the venue. During this time, the organisers appeared completely helpless, and the situation deteriorated further.
Tensions escalated when Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur took the stage. During his address, participants protested, chanted slogans, and even threw bottles. Continuous chants of “No, no” forced the Chief Minister to cut his speech short.
Political analysts say the attendees’ disinterest and protests against leaders reflect PTI’s internal challenges, while the disorder at the rally raises questions about the party’s organisational strength.
