According to the report, one of the suspects is Mark Regan, who is a habitual criminal. Another suspect allegedly involved in the attacks is a Pakistani national, Asif Afsar, who is also a habitual offender and is engaged in the business of buying and selling vehicles. It was further stated that all three suspects have been involved in criminal activities in the past.

According to sources, The police had also conducted a thorough investigation where they did not find any links of Asif with any agency or any institution of Pakistan.
