Peshawar: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has asked its lawmakers to contribute a portion of their salaries to help the party manage its rising financial obligations, according to an internal letter issued today.
Letter Calls for Urgent Support
In a letter addressed to members of the National Assembly, Senate and provincial legislatures, PTI’s additional secretary general said each parliamentarian is expected to deposit 10 percent of their monthly salary into the party fund. The letter states that every MNA, senator and MPA should contribute Rs 50,000 per month.

Party Cites Financial Shortfall
According to the correspondence, the party is unable to meet several operational responsibilities due to financial constraints. Additional Secretary General Firdous Shamim Naqvi urged legislators to send their contributions on an emergency basis to stabilize ongoing activities.
Lawmakers Given 72 Hours
The letter further notes that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) expects lawmakers to treat the matter with urgency and complete the payment within 72 hours. It expresses hope that all elected representatives will “give this matter the utmost importance” to ensure smooth functioning of party operations.
