President Asif Ali Zardari confers awards for outstanding services in various fields

An award distribution ceremony is underway at the Aiwan-e-Sadr for individuals who have rendered outstanding services in different fields of life.

President Asif Ali Zardari is distributing awards to individuals who have shown exceptional performance in various sectors.

For notable performance in public service, Muazzam Jah Ansari was awarded the Hilal-e-Imtiaz.

Cricketer Shahid Khan Afridi was also awarded the Hilal-e-Imtiaz for outstanding services in the field of sports.

For services to democracy, the late Nawabzada Nasrullah Khan was awarded the Nishan-e-Imtiaz (posthumously). In the field of literature and public service, the late Irfan-ul-Haq Siddiqui was also awarded the Nishan-e-Imtiaz.

In recognition of extraordinary bravery, ASI Azhar Mahmood was awarded the Hilal-e-Shujaat, and for supreme sacrifice in defence of the country, soldier Shah Wali Khan was also awarded the same honour.

ASI Ejaz Khan (shaheed), Sub-Inspector Laik Zada (shaheed), and Constable Alam Zeb (shaheed) were also awarded the Hilal-e-Shujaat for their valuable services and sacrifices.

Federal Minister for Energy Owais Leghari was awarded the Hilal-e-Imtiaz for successful reforms in the energy sector.

Advisor on Privatization Muhammad Ali was also awarded the Hilal-e-Imtiaz for his outstanding services in energy and public administration.

Malik Ata Muhammad Khan (late) was awarded the Hilal-e-Imtiaz in recognition of services in sports and equestrian activities, while Azizuddin Baloch was also awarded the same honour for contributions in tourism and hospitality.

Zahra Majid Ali received the Hilal-e-Imtiaz for her distinguished services in literature.

Educationist Nawab Ali (shaheed) and Senator Hidayatullah (shaheed) were awarded the Sitara-e-Shujaat for exceptional bravery.

Diplomat Muhammad Ibrahim Muhammad Abdul Qadir from Bahrain was awarded the Sitara-e-Pakistan.

ASI Muhammad Akram (shaheed), Sub-Inspector Taj Mir (shaheed), Constable Abdullah (shaheed), and Constable Samand Khan (shaheed), among others, were also awarded the Sitara-e-Shujaat for their bravery and sacrifices.

The family of brave martyr Liaquat Shahid was brought to Aiwan-e-Sadr with full state protocol. He had foiled a suicide attack at Khushal Garh by stopping the attacker. He was awarded the Sitara-e-Shujaat, which was received by his mother.

Other security personnel, including Gul Umar Zai (shaheed), Lance Naik Syed ur Rehman (shaheed), Sepoy Hazaratullah (shaheed), Naib Subedar Muhammad Jan (shaheed), and Sepoy Mushtaq Ahmad (shaheed), were also honoured with Sitara-e-Shujaat.

Mountaineer Shehroze Kashif was also awarded the Hilal-e-Imtiaz for his achievements in mountaineering.
