Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) workers, including three sisters of Imran Khan, were protesting in front of Adiala Jail, Rawalpindi. During the protest, female police officials took Imran Khan’s sisters into custody, and after an investigation, police released three of them.

According to PTI’s MNA Shahid Khattak, Islamabad High Court (IHC) instructed officials to allow Imran Khan’s sisters to meet him in Adiala jail, but police started a crackdown on PTI workers present in front of Adiala Jail.  He said that police used water cannon to disperse protesters, and a female police officer tried to arrest Imran Khan’s sister, including Aleema Khan, Uzma Khan, and Naureen Niazi.

PTI leader Meena Khan Afridi also said while speaking to journalists outside Adiala that “we will not surrender and continue our struggle.”

Aleema Khan also stated in an interaction with journalists outside Adiala that “lawyers’ movement will start from here today.” On the question regarding strategy, Aleema Khan said, “PTI workers are my strategy.”
