ISLAMABAD: In a meeting with Syed Mohsin Naqvi, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has approved public attendance for all three Pakistan Super League (PSL) playoff matches, allowing fans to witness the action live in stadiums.
However, the Prime Minister stressed an important condition under the austerity measures, urging spectators to use public transport or minimize fuel consumption while traveling to and from the venues, in line with ongoing national austerity measures.
During the meeting, the Prime Minister also expressed his best wishes to all four teams participating in the PSL playoffs, expressing hope for high-quality and entertaining cricket in the upcoming matches.
The decision is expected to boost fan engagement ahead of the crucial knockout stage of the tournament.

The lineup for the 11th edition of the Pakistan Super League playoffs has been finalised. Peshawar Zalmi, Islamabad United, Multan Sultans and Hyderabad Kingsmen have secured the top four spots at the end of the group stage.
Zalmi finished at the top with 17 points. Islamabad United followed with 13 points. Multan Sultans claimed third place with 12 points. Hyderabad Kingsmen took the fourth spot with 10 points, edging out Lahore Qalandars on net run rate.
The playoffs will begin in Karachi on April 28. The qualifier will see Zalmi face Islamabad United. The first eliminator is scheduled for April 29 in Lahore, where Multan Sultans will take on Kingsmen. The second eliminator will also be played in Lahore on May 1.
The final of the tournament is set for May 3.
