Islamabad: Shahbaz Sharif has announced a special Ramadan Relief Package 2026, allocating 38 billion PKR for the initiative.

The Prime Minister officially launched the package, which will provide funds directly to eligible families through digital wallets and bank accounts. Each family will receive PKR 13,000 during Ramadan, with no discrimination.

The package will also cover 2.1 million families not currently included in any welfare program, while 10 billion PKR has been set aside for 10 million families already receiving support. In total, 12.1 million families, or about 60 million people, are expected to benefit.

A federal ministers’ committee will oversee the implementation, and a helpline (9999) has been set up to assist the public.
