Pakistan’s Test record turns negative for the first time since 1987

Pakistan’s continued poor performance in Test cricket has resulted in the team reaching this historic negative record.

Pakistan’s Test cricket record has turned negative for the first time since 1987.

Following Pakistan’s defeat to England in the Lord’s Test, the number of defeats in the national team’s overall Test record has surpassed its number of victories.

The match at Lord’s was Pakistan’s 473rd Test. Following the result, Pakistan have won 153 Tests and lost 154.

Pakistan’s record was last negative in 1987.

After drawing a Test against England at The Oval in August 1987, Pakistan had played 170 Test matches, recording 39 wins and 40 defeats.

Pakistan’s consistently poor performance in Test cricket over the past few years has laid the foundation for this historic negative record, which also reflects the team’s current crisis.
