Web desk: The first solar powered car has been introduced in Lahore, offering residents an alternative to rising fuel prices and daily traffic expenses.

The innovative vehicle has quickly drawn public attention because of its energy-saving features and low running cost. Developers say the car provides a practical solution for short city travel while reducing dependence on petrol.

The solar car comes equipped with air conditioning and a heater to ensure comfort in all weather conditions. It also features a sunroof that allows natural light and fresh air inside the vehicle.

The car has a top speed of 50 kilometers per hour and can travel up to 100 kilometers on a single charge. However, its built-in solar panels continue to charge the battery while driving in sunlight. As a result, the range can extend to 150 kilometers under favorable conditions.

In addition to solar charging, users can recharge the vehicle through a standard electric charger, making it convenient for daily use.

The first mini solar and electric-powered vehicle initiative in Lahore was introduced by the newly launched “Made in Pakistan” electric and solar-powered vehicle company, which was formally inaugurated by Punjab Provincial Minister for Energy and Sports along with MNA at the SBP E-Library, Nishtar Park Sports Complex in Lahore

Residents of Lahore have welcomed the initiative. Many say the car is ideal for school drop-offs, grocery shopping, and weekend family visits. They believe the solar vehicle reduces fuel expenses and offers an economical and environmentally friendly transport option for urban life.
