Lahore: In a landmark development for Pakistan’s retail tech sector, Air Link Communication Limited has announced plans to launch the country’s first official Apple retail store at Lahore’s Dolmen Mall by the end of 2025.
The announcement was made during the company’s latest corporate briefing session, attended by representatives from Topline Securities and other financial institutions. According to the briefing, the Apple Store will be established alongside a Xiaomi retail outlet at the same location marking a major expansion of Pakistan’s premium electronics retail footprint.
The partnership was formalized through GNext Technologies, Apple’s authorized distributor in the country to expand official retail access and ensure direct availability of Apple products through certified channels.
“The partnership will allow Pakistani consumers access to Apple’s full product range including iPhones, iPads, MacBooks, Apple Watches, and accessories through authorized retail networks, ensuring a premium buying experience,” an Air Link spokesperson said.
A Retail and Manufacturing Expansion Drive
In addition to opening first official Apple retail store at Lahore, Air Link revealed it is in advanced discussions with another international mobile phone brand to initiate local manufacturing and distribution in Pakistan. While the name of the brand was not disclosed, insiders say the agreement could further diversify the company’s product portfolio.
The firm is also exploring collaborations with international brands to expand into air conditioners, washing machines, and microwave ovens, as it seeks to become a multi-category consumer electronics powerhouse.
Analysts Hail a Retail Tech Milestone
Market analysts described the opening of Pakistan’s first official Apple Store as a “defining moment for the local tech retail sector.”
“For years, Apple products have only been available through third-party resellers. A dedicated Apple Store will elevate retail standards, ensure product authenticity, and bring Pakistan in line with regional markets like Dubai and Singapore,” said an analyst at Topline Securities.
The announcement coincides with the recent launch of Apple’s iPhone 17, featuring a brighter scratch-resistant display and enhanced front camera for improved “horizontal selfies” a product expected to see high demand in Pakistan’s premium smartphone segment.
As Air Link strengthens its alliances with Apple, Xiaomi, and Acer, the company is positioning itself at the center of Pakistan’s tech transformation, promising consumers both global brands and locally manufactured innovation under one roof.
