A condemnation resolution against the alleged intrusion by Afghanistan into Pakistan was presented in the Senate and unanimously approved.
The resolution was presented by PPP Senator Sherry Rehman. The text of the resolution states that Pakistan was attacked by Afghan Taliban forces.
The House condemns Afghan aggression, stating that it is a violation of international law.
The resolution further states that Pakistan’s sovereignty and national dignity will not be compromised under any circumstances, and any aggressive action will be responded to in a proportionate and effective manner.
The resolution also paid tribute to the bravery, professional competence, and sacrifices of the Armed Forces of Pakistan and emphasized that the armed forces have always remained steadfast in defending the country.
It stated that Pakistan has hosted millions of Afghan refugees for 40 years, but instead of goodwill, Afghanistan has often taken hostile actions. It called on the Afghan regime to immediately declare a ceasefire and urged the international community to take notice.

Pakistan reaffirmed its commitment to fulfilling its international responsibilities and promoting stability in the region, clarifying that the desire for peace should not be seen as weakness and calling on the international community to take immediate notice of Afghanistan’s irresponsible behavior.
The Senate expressed its resolve that, above political differences, the nation stands united for national defense.
It is noted that Pakistan has reportedly launched Operation “Ghazab-ul-Haq” in response to the alleged unprovoked aggression by the Afghan Taliban. According to reports, 133 Afghan Taliban members were killed and over 200 were injured in air and ground strikes.
Pakistan also reportedly took control of five Afghan posts in the Paktia area of Afghanistan and hoisted the Pakistani flag there. The captured posts include two opposite Shawal, two opposite Angor Ada, and one opposite Zarmalan.
