It has been noticed that over the past few days a thought over coordinated negative information campaign is initiated from outside Pakistan, with malicious designs, says Atta Tarar

According to the information minister, the objective of these elements is to create deliberate confusion and misinformation and to derail the selfless peace efforts for the broader interest of the entire region.

He said that this unprofessional intent to discredit Pakistan’s role for sustainable peace in the region is a testimony to the frustration of those who are struggling to promote conflicts and miseries in the region.

Referring to the propaganda campaign, Atta Tarar said that facts and verification by credible domestic media sources as well as multiple global fact check forums have already exposed the unauthenticity of the false and baseless claims.

He further said that “we understand quite clearly that behind such stories are certain elements, mainly the detractors of peace, who are unable to come to terms with Pakistan’s role for peace in the region as well as Pakistan’s continued and successful fight against foreign sponsored and abetted terrorism.”

It was made clear that elimination of terrorism, resolution of disputes and prevalence of peace perhaps does not suit those behind this malicious campaign.

He urged Pakistani responsible media to continue to expose the nefarious designs of those behind this coordinated campaign. He said that the effort and role of Pakistani media and influencers to unmask this malicious campaign is most commendable.
