Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has described Pakistan’s role in mediation and ceasefire efforts as effective and responsible, praising its contributions. He also appreciated Pakistan’s hosting of the Iranian delegation during the Islamabad negotiations.
President Pezeshkian stated that Iran seeks peace, stability, and brotherly relations in the region, emphasizing the importance of continued diplomatic efforts to achieve these goals.
He made it clear that the Iranian people do not trust the United States due to past instances of broken promises, and stressed that Iran’s rights must be upheld in accordance with international laws and principles.
The Iranian president further said that the United States will not emerge as a victor in this conflict, warning that the ongoing tensions could lead to serious consequences not only for regional countries but for the entire world.
He also criticized the Zionist regime, stating that it is pursuing its own agendas. He expressed hope that unity among the Muslim Ummah would prevent those ambitions from being realized.
In conclusion, President Pezeshkian emphasized that regional security should be ensured by the countries of the region themselves, highlighting Pakistan’s constructive and significant role in this regard.
According to Iranian media reports, Field Marshal Asim Munir met with Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian. The meeting was also attended by Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi and Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi.
