In a recent public statement, Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif expressed strong support for international efforts aimed at initiating dialogue to end the ongoing war in the Middle East.

According to the statement, Pakistan welcomed and endorsed diplomatic initiatives seeking to promote peace and stability in the region and beyond.

The message emphasized that, subject to mutual agreement between the United States and Iran, Pakistan would be ready to host and facilitate meaningful negotiations between the parties involved.

The development comes amid renewed global attention on de-escalation efforts, with indirect references to involvement or engagement by international figures including Donald J. Trump, as well as diplomatic actors such as Steve Witkoff and Abbas Araghchi.

Pakistan’s offer positions the country as a potential neutral venue for dialogue, reflecting its stated commitment to facilitating peaceful resolution of international conflicts. The move is seen as part of broader diplomatic efforts to reduce tensions and encourage direct or mediated talks between involved stakeholders.

Officials have not yet confirmed whether formal negotiations will take place, but Pakistan’s willingness to host such discussions highlights its continued interest in playing a constructive role in regional and global peace initiatives.
