Islamabad: The National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) has removed all its senior officers from their positions and issued new postings across the country, signaling a major organizational reshuffle.
Top Officers Relieved from Duties
Additional Director Abdul Rauf of the Rawalpindi zone and Additional Director Administration Mahmoodul Hassan have been relieved of their posts. Similarly, Additional Director Karachi Abdul Ghaffar and Additional Director Multan Ahmed Zaim were also dismissed from their positions. Deputy Director Tahir Khan, in charge of Abbottabad, has been placed on administrative leave, while Assistant Directors Asif Iqbal of Faisalabad and Amjad Abbasi of Sukkur had their charges withdrawn. All officers have been directed to report to NCCIA headquarters.
New Appointments Announced
The agency appointed Ehsan Ullah Chauhan as Additional Director of Rawalpindi zone, Mudassir Shah as Additional Director Peshawar, and Tariq Khan as Additional Director Quetta. Assistant Director Fasih has been reassigned from Karachi to oversee the Sukkur zone. The NCCIA headquarters has formally issued notifications for all changes.
Strategic Reorganization
Officials said the reshuffle aims to streamline operations, strengthen cybercrime investigations, and improve coordination among regional offices. Analysts noted that the move could enhance the agency’s efficiency in handling rising cyber threats across Pakistan.
