Google just released a major upgrade. It’s for their image-generation tool, Nano Banana. The new version is called Nano Banana Pro. Officially, it is known as Gemini 3 Pro Image. The rollout began on November 20.
Nano Banana Pro brings significant improvements. It enhances how the AI creates visuals. It also handles text better inside images.
Enhanced Visuals and Information
The Pro version is built on the Gemini 3 Pro model. It aims to produce visuals with more meaningful information. This helps users needing clear explanations. Think of detailed infographics or diagrams.
The system analyzes facts from the user. It enhances how these details appear in the images. Nano Banana Pro can now integrate with Google Search. It can pull recipes or photos. Then, it combines them into a single image.
Sharper Text and Consistency
Google also improved text generation. Users should see clearer, more readable text in photos. This applies to calligraphy and stylized fonts. It now supports multiple languages better.
The Pro version offers improved consistency. It merges multiple images smoothly. Users can upload up to 14 photos. The model blends them into one visual. New “creative controls” are also available. Users can adjust the angle, focus, and other elements.
The original Nano Banana remains available. It’s for quick, simple image generation. Nano Banana Pro is for more advanced, detailed creation.
Access and Popularity
Nano Banana Pro is rolling out now in the Gemini app. It is available for consumers and students. Free users get a limited number of Pro generations. Google AI Plus, Pro, and Ultra subscribers have larger quotas.
Nano Banana launched in late August. It quickly gained popularity. Google reported over 10 million new Gemini app users. Over 200 million images have been created so far. Google has expanded Nano Banana to NotebookLM, Search, and Lens.
