Farmer crushed to death exposes Modi’s ‘Shining India’ reality

NEW DELHI: India stands drenched in the blood of its farmers, revealing the grim face behind Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s so-called “Shining India.”

Under Modi’s rule, power lies with the oppressors, justice has vanished, and the poor are left helpless.

Farmers across India are not only facing severe economic hardship but also enduring political repression. The recent killing of a farmer in Madhya Pradesh has become another shocking example of violence against farmers.

According to India Today, a BJP leader in Ganeshpura village of Madhya Pradesh ran his jeep over a farmer after the latter refused to sell his land. The report added that Mahendra Nagar, along with his accomplices, brutally beat Ram Swaroop with sticks, assaulted women, and even opened fire. The injured farmer was not allowed to be taken to the hospital at gunpoint.

Local residents told India Today that BJP leaders had been threatening and forcing around 25 farmers to sell their land at throwaway prices and leave the village.

Congress MLA Rishi Agrawal condemned the Modi government, saying that violence, looting, and sexual assaults have surged in Madhya Pradesh under BJP’s protection.

He further stated that Modi’s failed policies have pushed India’s farmers into crippling debt, hunger, and even suicide.
