LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister and daughter of former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, Maryam Nawaz, turned 52 on October 28 (today), with PML-N workers celebrating her birthday across the country.
To mark the occasion, Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) organized celebrations across the country, where party members and supporters held ceremonies and cut cakes in her honor.
Born on October 28, 1973, Maryam Nawaz married Captain (Retd) Safdar in 1992. A highly educated leader, she began her political journey during the 2013 general elections, where her dynamic campaign contributed significantly to Nawaz Sharif’s victory, making him Prime Minister for the third time.
Beyond politics, Maryam Nawaz has been a strong advocate for women’s rights and girls’ education. During Nawaz Sharif’s tenure, a British media outlet listed her among the world’s 100 most influential daughters of heads of state.
Punjab Information and Culture Minister Uzma Zahid Bukhari extended heartfelt birthday wishes to the Chief Minister, thanking her for the numerous initiatives and gifts she has given to the people of Punjab.
