Quetta: Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has announced Rs 10 billion in financial assistance for Frontier Constabulary (FC) Balochistan .
According to sources, Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz visited the Frontier Constabulary Headquarters in Balochistan. Addressing the personnel on the occasion, she said that a few months ago she learned that FC required funds. “Balochistan is not alone; we all stand shoulder to shoulder with it. I announce Rs 10 billion for the support of FC,” she stated.
The Chief Minister said that FC personnel were making sacrifices for the country and fighting to protect the homeland. She noted that the number of martyrs was close to one thousand and said that every single life was extremely precious. She paid tribute to those fighting on the front lines despite difficulties.
Maryam Nawaz stated that the enemy was attacking the country in a very strategic manner. “Whoever weakens Pakistan is not its friend but its worst enemy. However, if we become like a fortified wall united together, the enemy cannot harm us,” she said.
She added that peace and stability in Balochistan were a priority for the entire country. “We are not facing physical warfare but fifth-generation warfare. The enemy has attacked our minds, but those trying to divide us will never succeed. We must strongly confront fifth-generation warfare and foil all enemy conspiracies.” she said.
Maryam Nawaz further said that in Punjab, the capacity of all forces was enhanced to eliminate crime, which resulted in a significant reduction in the crime rate. She emphasized that increasing FC’s capacity was also necessary for security in Balochistan.
