RAWALPINDI: A ceremony will be held at GHQ in Rawalpindi today to mark the completion of one year of the glorious victory in Marka-e-Haq.
Chief of Defence Forces Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir will attend the ceremony as the chief guest and is also expected to address the participants.
Chief of Air Staff Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Babar Sidhu and Naval Chief Admiral Naveed Ashraf will also participate in the event.
A floral wreath will be laid at the martyrs’ memorial, while smartly turned-out contingents of the three armed forces will present a salute.
Earlier, on the completion of one year of the success of Marka-e-Haq, Field Marshal Asim Munir, Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Babar, and Admiral Naveed Ashraf congratulated the nation and the armed forces.
Besides this, grand functions are being held across the whole country across the country for the last three days to commemorate the historical victory. people from all walks of life are participating in rallies, musical concerts and stage shows. The martyrs of the nation are paid tribute in a dignified manner.
In this connection Lahore is hosting a grand event where three-day celebrations marking one year since the success of “Marka-e-Haq” have begun.
At Liberty Chowk, the central mega events are being held, with a stage and sound performances and national songs and tribute is paidt to the Pakistan Armed Forces. The Chief Minister of Punjab, Maryam Nawaz, will also attend on the event today.
