Police in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan repelled a series of coordinated militant attacks in Bannu and Sherani districts, stopping attempts to overrun multiple posts. Initial reports said a large group targeted the Hoiad/Hovid sector in Bannu, with heavy weapons used on both sides.
Police sources indicated several militants were likely injured, while one policeman sustained minor wounds during the first exchange.

According to district officials, around 200 militants attacked the Mazangah checkpoint of the Hovid police station with small and heavy automatic weapons.
The attackers also struck the Miryan police station earlier in the night. Regional Police Officer Sajjad Khan said the Miryan assault was thwarted within 20 minutes.
He added that the Mazangah firefight lasted about an hour as units held their ground and blocked repeated pushes.

Police sources reported three militants killed and four wounded in the Mazangah clash.
Their accomplices removed the dead and injured while retreating under pressure. Three police personnel suffered minor injuries.
Officers credited alert sentries, quick reinforcement, and disciplined fields of fire for stopping the breach. Commanders said continued vigilance and area sweeps would deny the fugitives safe havens.

In Balochistan’s Sherani district, militants attacked both police and Levies stations, martyring one police officer and one Levies personnel and injuring six others.
The Deputy Commissioner said the attackers damaged station communication systems, hampering early coordination. An emergency was declared at Civil Hospital Zhob to treat the wounded.
Authorities noted that Sherani facilities have been targeted before and pledged stronger perimeter security and faster backup.
Police repel coordinated terrorist assaults in Karak’s Gurguri police station
In Karak, militants tried to hit the Gurguri police station. The District Police Officer said a controlled exchange pushed the attackers back before they could close on the compound.
Across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, police checkpoints remain on high alert.
Commanders praised the rank and file for steady nerves under fire and vowed to pursue those who orchestrated the assaults until every terrorist hideouts are dismantled.
