ISLAMABAD: Islamabad Traffic Police has issued a challan to a vehicle registered with Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI) leader Maulana Abdul Ghafoor Haideri.
Maulana Abdul Ghafoor Haideri is the Secretary General of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI).
Islamabad Traffic Police issued a traffic ticket to the vehicle of Maulana Abdul Ghafoor Haideri.
The fine was imposed due to the use of black-tinted windows.
Police officials removed the tinted glasses on the spot. At the time of the incident, the vehicle was being driven by Maulana Haideri’s son.
Maulana Abdul Ghafoor Haideri is a Member of the National Assembly and was elected from NA-261.
Islamabad Capital Territory Police has launched a citywide drive against vehicles using tinted glasses and black paper on the directives issued by Inspector General Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi.
A police statement said special squads were formed across the capital and these teams will take action against violators in all sectors.
Police said a zero-tolerance policy is being enforced.
They added that public awareness and road safety remain a moral responsibility.
Officials said the crackdown is part of ongoing efforts in the federal capital. The aim is to curb the use of unauthorized tinted windows.
The operation also reflects Islamabad Police’s commitment to traffic law enforcement.
Road safety rules will be implemented without discrimination, the traffic police officials have said.
