Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar contacted Egyptian Foreign Minister Samah Shukri by telephone to discuss in detail the current tense situation in the Middle East, especially the ongoing humanitarian crisis in Gaza. The two leaders agreed that the difficulties faced by the Palestinian people require the immediate attention of the international community and that efforts should be intensified at the diplomatic, humanitarian and political levels in this regard. According to the media report, the discussions also discussed the possibilities of making the ongoing diplomatic efforts in the region more effective and promoting interactions between Arab and Islamic countries.
