Web Desk: Pakistan said on Thursday that 11 Pakistani citizens returned home after being taken into custody from a vessel seized by the United States.

Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar said authorities also secured the return of 20 Iranian nationals. He said the repatriation took place through coordinated diplomatic efforts involving Singapore.

Officials said the group first traveled from Singapore to Bangkok. The Pakistani citizens then boarded a flight to Islamabad.

Dar said Pakistan will continue to facilitate the return of Iranian nationals. He added that cooperation with Iranian authorities will remain ongoing.

He also praised Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi for his support during the process. In addition, he said Pakistan values Iran’s trust in its diplomatic efforts.

Dar thanked Singapore’s prime minister, government, and foreign minister for their assistance. He said their cooperation and constant communication helped make the operation possible.

He also expressed gratitude to US Secretary of State Marco Rubio for cooperation in the return of 31 Pakistani and Iranian citizens. Officials said diplomatic engagement across multiple countries ensured the safe repatriation of all individuals involved.
