Iran’s Ambassador to Pakistan, Reza Amiri Moghadam, has expressed gratitude to Pakistan for attending the funeral of the martyred Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei.
According to the private TV channel Dunya News, in a statement posted on X, the Iranian ambassador said, “On behalf of the Iranian government and people, I thank Pakistan for its participation in the funeral of the martyred Leader. I thank Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, the Field Marshal, and the Deputy Prime Minister.”
He said, “I am also grateful for the participation of Senate Chairman Yousaf Raza Gilani, Speaker Ayaz Sadiq, Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, Information Minister Atta Tarar, as well as other senior officials, religious figures, political leaders, and cultural personalities.”
The Iranian ambassador stated that Pakistan participated in this historic ceremony at the highest level. “This participation is a manifestation of the longstanding friendship and mutual respect between the two brotherly countries. This step reflects the historical ties and shared values between Iran and Pakistan. Iran and Pakistan have stood by each other through every difficult and joyful occasion in history.”
Reza Amiri Moghadam further said that both countries have stood shoulder to shoulder in the spirit of solidarity and mutual cooperation. “I pray to Almighty Allah that the friendship and brotherly relations between Iran and Pakistan always remain strong. May Allah grant lasting peace, prosperity, and dignity to both countries. May Allah further strengthen Iran-Pakistan relations for generations to come.”
