Indian media faces backlash for false reporting

NEW DELHI: Indian media outlets have once again come under heavy criticism for spreading unverified and baseless reports, damaging their credibility. The irresponsible coverage during the recent Delhi blast has exposed what many are calling India’s “false flag” narrative.

In a race for higher ratings, several Indian reporters reportedly tampered with or removed key evidence from the blast site, drawing sharp condemnation from the public. Many citizens rejected the Modi government’s narrative, accusing news channels of fueling panic instead of providing facts.

“At a time when people were already gripped by fear, Indian news channels irresponsibly reported not one but two blasts,” citizens remarked, expressing anger at the sensationalism. They also pointed out that no government agency, police department, or credible source has so far confirmed the actual circumstances surrounding the incident.

Dr. Devinder Singh, an Indian citizen, also accused Prime Minister Modi of orchestrating a false flag operation. He said, “People of Delhi and Bihar should beware if anyone seeks votes in the name of the Delhi blast, know that he’s the one behind it.” Dr. Singh further stated that an impartial investigation would likely reveal links between the blast and the government itself.

“It was not a terrorist attack but a staged event,” citizens insisted, urging others to stay vigilant during political rallies and observe how politicians attempt to twist the incident for electoral gain.

Observers noted that this is not the first time Indian media, often referred to as “Godi media,” has embarrassed itself globally through fabricated reporting. During “Operation Sindoor,” too, their baseless coverage drew widespread ridicule.

Critics now describe the Indian media as less a source of news and more a “theatre of lies and absurdity.” The Indian public, they say, has begun to recognize Prime Minister Modi’s malicious designs and manipulative tactics.
