Web Desk: Security sources warned on Monday that India is preparing a false flag operation against Pakistan. Sources claim New Delhi plans to exploit Pakistani citizens currently held in Indian jails to stage a cross-border incident.
Relocation of Detainees
Intelligence reports indicate that Indian authorities are shifting dozens of Pakistani prisoners, including Kashmiris. Security officials believe India will use these detainees to execute a staged security event.
Sources suggest this move aims to cover up India’s recent diplomatic setbacks. They also claim New Delhi wants to divert international attention away from Pakistan.
History of Escalation
This warning follows a pattern of sudden military flare-ups. Last May, an attack on tourists in Indian-occupied Kashmir triggered a brief war. New Delhi blamed Pakistan immediately without providing evidence.
Islamabad denied responsibility and requested a neutral investigation. However, India launched deadly air strikes in Punjab and Azad Kashmir. The two nations traded strikes on airbases for four days. The conflict finally ended on May 10 after American diplomats intervened to secure a ceasefire.
The Pulwama Precedent
Current tensions mirror the 2019 Pulwama crisis. On February 14, 2019, a suicide bombing killed over 40 Indian paramilitary soldiers. India alleged the attackers had links to the Pakistani state. Pakistan vigorously denied these charges.
The situation escalated when India launched air strikes near Balakot. India claimed it hit a militant camp, but Pakistan disputed this. Soon after, Pakistani jets downed an Indian aircraft and captured pilot Abhinandan Varthaman. Pakistan eventually returned the pilot to India as a peace gesture.
Security forces now remain on high alert. Officials fear a new staged incident could spark another dangerous military confrontation
