⏱ 1 minute read

Web desk: Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has announced the construction of a new jail in Islamabad. He confirmed that authorities are building the facility to meet modern security and administrative standards.

Naqvi stated that if the founder of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf receives a sentence from an Islamabad court, officials will transfer him to this newly built prison. His remarks have drawn significant political attention due to the ongoing legal proceedings involving the PTI leadership.

The interior minister strongly emphasized that the new jail will include complete medical facilities. He said the government wants to ensure proper healthcare for all inmates. According to Naqvi the facility will provide necessary treatment services and maintain health standards inside the prison.

He further highlighted that the project reflects the government’s effort to upgrade prison infrastructure in the federal capital. Officials aim to improve both security arrangements and inmate welfare through this initiative.

The announcement comes at a time of heightened political sensitivity. As legal cases move forward the development of this new jail adds another important dimension to the evolving political landscape in Islamabad
