HONG KONG: India won by 2 runs over Pakistan in the Hong Kong Super Sixes match. India posted a total of 86/4 in six overs. But Pakistan could only managed to score 41/1 in three overs when the rain stopped play.
The match was played at Mission Road Ground in Mong Kok. No further play was possible due to rain. Later, India were declared the winner by 2 runs as per DLS method,
Earlier, Pakistan won the toss and chose to bowl first against India in the Hong Kong Super Sixes tournament.
Both arch rivals are placed in Group C. Abbas Afridi was leading the Pakistani side as captain in the tournament.
Pakistan have long maintained a strong record in the Hong Kong Sixes as it claimed the title on five occasions. These occasions were in 1992, 1997, 2001, 2002, and 2011. Pakistan also remained finishing runners-up six times.

Openning match:
Earlier, Pakistan secured victory in their opening match against Kuwait, defeating the latter by four wickets. After winning the toss, Pakistan’s captain Abbas Afridi had opted to bowl first. Kuwait could posted a total of 123 runs only for the loss of two wickets.
Pakistan had chased down the target with just one wicket down while Khawaja Nafeh and Shahid Aziz remained unbeaten on 25 and 23 runs respectively. Captain Abbas Afridi scored 55 runs smashing one four and eight sixes off just 12 deliveries. For Kuwait, the only wicket was taken by Mohammad Shafiq.
