Even heavy rain could not dampen the spirit of patriotism. Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir attended the “Bunyan-un-Marsoos” ceremony in Islamabad, presenting a practical demonstration of national resolve, unity, and steadfastness. Despite the rain, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir remained present at the ceremony.

A ceremony marking the first anniversary of “Marka-e-Haq” was held at Pakistan Monument, with President Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir in attendance, alongside federal ministers and senior military officials. Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar, National Assembly Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, Senate Chairman Yousaf Raza Gillani and Federal Minister Aleem Khan were also present at the event.


Prime Minister’s address


Addressing the ceremony, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif thanked Allah Almighty for the great success of the Marka-e-Haq.” He said Allah Almighty turned the “ Marka-e-Haq” into a historic victory.


Announcement to observe May 10 every year


Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif announced that May 10 will be observed every year as “ Marka-e-Haq Day,” adding that the day will be celebrated with great enthusiasm and special events will be organized to commemorate it.

Earlier this day a grand event was held at GHQ where Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir and all the services chiefs participated. Field Marshal, in his detailed and comprehensive speech conveyed very clear and precise messages to the enemy. He also talked about the background and context of Maka-e-Haq. and Pakistan’s preparedness about any future aggression.
