Hamas chief meets Turkish FM ahead of Gaza Peace Talks

ISTANBUL: Hamas Chief Khalil Al-Hayya met with Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan in Istanbul, where the two discussed the upcoming meeting of foreign ministers from countries guaranteeing the Gaza peace agreement.

The ministerial meeting is scheduled to take place in Istanbul on Monday.

During their talks, both leaders also reviewed the delivery of aid in the second phase of relief efforts. Meanwhile, Israel has alleged that the bodies of 11 Israeli hostages are yet to be returned from Gaza.

On October 31, Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan during a press conference in Ankara had said that the gathering would include foreign ministers of countries represented at a meeting with U.S. President Donald Trump in New York in September.

The September meeting was attended by Turkey, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, the United Arab Emirates, Jordan, Pakistan and Indonesia.
