23 March Pakistan Day parade

Islamabad: The government has decided not to hold the parade and other major events on March 23, Pakistan Day, though the day will be observed in a simple manner.

According to sources, in the context of the Gulf oil crisis and the government’s austerity measures, it has been decided that the Pakistan Day parade and all associated events will not be conducted in 2026. However, the day will be marked with simple flag-raising ceremonies, maintaining dignity and respect.

This step is being taken to ensure that the nation’s commitment to the ideals of Pakistan, perseverance, and unwavering resolve is preserved, while also adhering to broader austerity policies.

All ministries, divisions, and departments have been instructed to observe the occasion in a simple and dignified manner, so that the importance and true message of the day remain intact despite limited celebrations.
