KARACHI: In a major surge, gold prices in Pakistan have reached an all-time high. The price of gold per tola soared by an unprecedented Rs.14,100 in a single day, the largest one-day increase ever recorded.
Following this sharp rise, the price of gold per tola now stands at Rs.456,900, marking a new historic peak. Similarly, the price of 10 grams of gold jumped by Rs.12,089, bringing it to Rs.391,718.
Previously, the biggest one-day increase in gold prices was Rs.10,000, recorded earlier in 2025.
Experts said the increase was driven by expectations of further US interest rate cuts and growing trade tensions between the US and China, which boosted demand for gold as a safe investment.
