Earlier, the Convener of Awaam Pakistan party was admitted to the hospital due to heart complications, and his treatment is still going on under the supervision of senior heart specialists.

Former finance minister Miftah Ismail said in a post on X that the former prime minister’s health is improving and he is on complete rest.

Miftah Ismail wrote on X, “Alhamdolillah Shahid Khaqan Abbasi sahib’s health condition continues to improve and he is now resting comfortably.”

“We expect and pray for his quick and full recovery. I thank friends who have been calling to ask about his health,” Miftah added.
