⏱ 1 minute read
Meta platforms

Meta’s social media platforms Facebook and Instagram have experienced service disruptions in Pakistan and several other countries, leaving users unable to access their accounts.

Users across multiple regions reported difficulties logging into the platforms via both the apps and websites.

According to users, attempts to sign in displayed a message stating that the account was temporarily unavailable due to a problem with the site and advising them to try again later.

Data from outage-tracking website Downdetector showed a sharp increase in reports of Facebook outages at around 1:00 p.m. Pakistan time.

Many users also turned to X (formerly Twitter) to report the disruption and confirm that Facebook and Instagram services were experiencing issues.

So far, Meta has not issued an official statement regarding the outage. As a result, it remains unclear what caused the disruption or when services will be fully restored.
