An earthquake measuring 4.6 on the Richter scale struck Swat and surrounding areas in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Friday evening, triggering panic among residents.
According to the Seismological Centre, the earthquake originated in the Hindu Kush mountain range at a depth of 196 kilometres.
Tremors were felt across Swat and nearby areas, causing fear among residents.
There were no immediate reports of casualties or property damage.
